The Sexual Rights Initiative (SRI) is a coalition of national and regional organizations from all parts of the world that has been advocating for the advancement of human rights in relation to gender and sexuality and increase the participation of Global South activists at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) and other UN mechanisms, since 2006.

CREA’s Sexuality, Gender and Rights Institute is an annual residential course that focuses on a conceptual study of sexuality and has been held since 2002.

Work with young people on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) has evolved as a significant development priority.

Conversations around abortion are far from normalized. It is an issue deeply steeped in stigma and access to safe abortion services and right to bodily autonomy is denied to most women.

In 2014, CREA became part of a consortium, consisting of MDF Training and Consultancy B.V. (MDF), Rutgers WPF, and the Institute for Gender Studies (IGS) of the Radboud University.
